The Honda Clarity is built in Japan. The first-generation Clarity (2008-2014) was produced at the Takanezawa Plant in Takanezawa, Japan. For the second generation (2016-present), production was moved to the Sayama Plant in Sayama, Japan. The factory in Sayama, Japan, where the Clarity is built, is also planned to be closed by Honda .
Please note that the production of the Honda Clarity ended in August 2021, with US leases for the fuel cell variant continuing through to 2022.
