The Fuel Location in a Ford Transit
The fuel tank in a Ford Transit is located near the front driver’s seat door, rather than on the back side of the vehicle like in conventional cars. To access the fuel tank, you need to open the driver’s door, and at the bottom corner of the door, you will see the gas tank.

– The Ford Transit holds approximately 26 gallons of regular unleaded or diesel fuel.
– If your Ford Transit is Flex-Fuel capable, indicated by the yellow-colored fuel inlet housing, you can also use E85 fuel, which contains 85% ethanol.

Now insert the pump nozzle into the filler until it stops. And filler up when you’re done remove the nozzle. And snap the fuel filler doors shut. Easy.
