Where is number 1 on a Chevy distributor
On a Chevy distributor, the number one cylinder is always located on the driver’s side front of the engine. Chevrolet numbers its cylinders with odd numbers on the left (driver) side and even numbers on the right. The left side is numbered 1-3-5-7, and the right side is numbered 2-4-6-8. Therefore, when looking at the distributor, the number one position will be on the driver’s side front of the distributor cap.
