Dodge Viper Production Years
The Dodge Viper was produced from 1992 to 2017. The first generation of the Viper, known as the RT/10, was introduced in 1992 and continued until 1995. The second generation, which included the RT/10 roadster and the GTS coupe, was produced from 1996 to 2002. The third generation of the Viper arrived in 2003 and lasted until 2006. The fourth generation, also known as the ZB II, was produced from 2008 to 2010. Finally, the fifth generation of the Viper was introduced in 2013 and continued until 2017.
Please note that there were no new Vipers made for the 2007 model year.

Why did Dodge discontinue the Viper?
Only 630 were sold in 2016. New safety regulations regarding side curtain airbags came into effect, which was not something the automaker was willing to spend the extra money on, so Fiat Chrysler (FCA) decided to put the Viper to bed and closed its Conner Assembly Plant in Michigan in August of 2017.
