The Dodge D50, also known as the Dodge Ram 50, was a series of compact pickup trucks introduced for the 1979 model year. It was largely a badge-engineered version of the Mitsubishi Triton / Mighty Max. The Dodge D50 entered the U.S. market in 1979 and was produced until 1994. It was based on the Mitsubishi Mighty Max/Forte/L200 and had several variants, including the short-lived Plymouth Arrow and a diesel engine option between 1983-1985.
In 1981, the Dodge Power Ram 50 4WD was introduced, and in 1987, the Ram 50 was redesigned. Despite the introduction of its successor, the Dodge Dakota, in the same year, sales of the Ram 50 continued for another seven years, possibly due to its compact size and cost, leaving a niche for the Dodge 50 [[4]] .
Therefore, the Dodge D50 was produced from 1979 to 1994.
