Years of the Chevy Deluxe
The Chevrolet Deluxe was sold for model years 1949 to 1952. It was available as sedans, coupes, convertibles, and station wagons, with the Deluxe being the upmarket version of the Special variant.
In 1950, the Deluxe range offered a balance of style and luxury unavailable in the base Special series, and was Chevy’s sales leader from the late forties to the mid-fifties. The Deluxe series included upgraded cord and leather-grain vinyl trim, full carpeting, and a wide range of two-tone paint schemes. The 1950-1952 Bel Air was officially part of the Deluxe range and shared only their front sheetmetal ahead of the A-pillar with the rest of the range.
The Chevrolet Deluxe was a popular model, and there are still many classic Chevrolet Deluxes listed for sale, with prices starting as low as $3,500.
