The Chevrolet Trax is a front-wheel drive vehicle.
According to the search results, the second-generation Chevrolet Trax is available with front-wheel drive only. The decision to offer front-wheel drive only was made because Chevrolet already offers the Trailblazer, which is available with an all-wheel-drive option. Additionally, the new Trax was designed as a more versatile replacement for the Cruze sedan and hatchback. Therefore, all models of the Chevrolet Trax are powered by a 1.2 L turbocharged, three-cylinder gasoline engine and are front-wheel drive.

Is Chevy Trax a good car to buy?
Trax is a great value
It has adequate power and performs head and shoulders above anything with a CVT transmission. The screens and software work well and wireless Apple CarPlay is a big plus. AWD is not available nor necessary on a small light vehicle like this in my opinion but I live in a Wisconsin in an urban area.
Does the Chevy Trax have 4 wheel drive?
Standard and available features increase significantly, with some tech details that wouldn’t look out of place in a much higher-end vehicle. However, all-wheel drive isn’t available in the new Trax, undermining its SUV claim. Perhaps the best thing about the 2024 Trax is its price—even less than before.
Is the Chevy Trax front or rear wheel drive?
front-wheel drive
For the 2024 model year, the Chevrolet Trax gets a significant makeover. The new iteration of the South Korean-made crossover SUV, now in its second generation, is only front-wheel drive. Indeed, all-wheel drive is no longer available as it was on 2022 and earlier models (the Trax skipped the 2023 model year).
How many miles will a Chevy Trax last?
200,000 miles
The Chevy Trax can last 100,000 just as any other vehicle. However, you must regularly get an oil change and service your vehicle, and simply keep up with it. Additionally, this Chevy SUV has a good shelf life that can possibly reach 200,000 miles with routine maintenance.
Is Chevy Trax a cheap car?
But the key selling point is the Trax’s fairly low introductory cost, starting at just $21,495 (including the $1,095 destination fee). Even the highest trim has a down-to-earth price tag of about $25,000. The standard powertrain is a 137-hp, 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo matched to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Is a Chevy Trax 2 or 4 wheel drive?
Chevy actually dropped base prices just a smidge, but the new Trax delivers less power and, most puzzling to me, is only available with front-wheel drive (FWD). An all-wheel-drive (AWD) system is not available. The 2024 Chevrolet Trax comes in LS, 1RS, LT, 2RS, and Activ trim levels.
What are the most common problems with Chevrolet Trax?
At the forefront of Trax’s reliability woes is the faulty A/C system. Frustrated owners complained about the Trax’s air conditioning system that had just stopped working. The common causes of A/C problems are usually a refrigerant leak, climate control electrical issues, and a broken air compressor.
Does Chevy Trax have issues?
Shortcomings of the 2024 Chevy Trax according to the report include uninspiring predicted reliability and low predicted owner satisfaction. Driving tests were claimed to reveal “uneven” power generation, leading to either anemic or excessive acceleration. The Trax also offered testers less agility than expected.
Is Chevy Trax good in the snow?
Equipped with the standard Chevy Safety Assist suite, including Front Pedestrian Braking, the Trax ensures heightened safety during your winter drives, combating icy roads and low visibility.
Is Chevy discontinuing Trax?
Chevy discontinued the first-generation Trax — its smallest and least expensive SUV — after the 2022 model year. Truth be told, it wasn’t heartbreaking news — time behind the wheel of the previous Trax wasn’t exactly inspiring. But notably, Chevrolet is giving it another go with the redesigned 2024 Trax.
