The EV Plus had a range of 80-105 miles (129-169 km) and was powered by a brushless DC electric motor and a 28.7 kWh nickel-metal hydride battery pack. Approximately 340 EV Plus models were produced and released. After the discontinuation of the EV Plus, Honda shifted its focus to hybrid battery technology and released the Honda Insight, its first hybrid electric vehicle.
