Type of Gas for Ford Bronco
The Ford Bronco can run on regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87. However, it is recommended to use 91 or higher octane fuel for optimal performance.
Some users have experimented with using premium fuel and have noted potential benefits for engine performance, especially for vehicles with turbocharged EcoBoost engines like the Ford Bronco Sport.
It’s important to avoid using diesel fuel in the Ford Bronco, as it can cause engine damage due to its lower octane rating and different properties compared to gasoline.
Overall, while the Bronco can run on regular unleaded gasoline, using 91 or higher octane fuel is recommended for better performance.
If you have further questions about fuel type for your Ford model, it’s always a good idea to refer to the owner’s manual or consult with certified Ford technicians for specific recommendations.

You’re not the only person to have asked this, I had to dig into this myself when I got my Ecoboost. I personally use 93 octane, especially in the summer. Even if 87 octane won’t cause knock, you’ll lose a bit of power, especially if you live in a hot climate like me.
