The 1997 Chevy 1500 single cab has different speaker sizes depending on the location. In the front door panels, the speakers are 6 1/2 inch. In the rear, the speakers are 4 x 6 inch if it’s an extended cab.
Please note that replacing the rear speakers in a 97 extended cab can be a bit challenging, so be careful not to break the panel clips.
