Platform of the Ford Bronco
The Ford Bronco is built on the Ford C2 platform. This platform is also used for the Ford Escape crossover, and it provides the Bronco Sport with a modified unibody platform, offering more road-friendly driving manners than the original Bronco SUV.
The Ford Bronco Sport will continue to use the C2 platform through 2030, with updates expected throughout the years leading up to 2030, but a platform change isn’t in the cards. The Ford Bronco and Ranger will eventually share a platform, but the current Ranger rides on a unique platform as far as Ford’s North American operations are concerned.
