The compression ratio is 11.0:1, and it features an LEV-2 (Low Emissions Vehicle-II) emissions control system.
Both engines incorporate Acura’s i-VTEC “intelligent” valve-control system, which combines VTC (Variable Timing Control) with Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) to continuously adjust camshaft phase and change valve lift, timing, and duration. Additionally, both engines meet strict Low Emission Vehicle-II (LEV-II) standards.
