The Ford Transit E Custom is expected to have a driving range of up to 236 miles on a single charge, based on the WLTP standard. This range is achieved with a 74kWh (usable) battery pack and is more than four times the average one-tonne van driver’s daily mileage. The electric workhorse is set to go into production in Fall 2023 at Ford’s plant in Turkey.
In addition, the E-Transit Custom will have a maximum payload capacity of 1,100 kilograms (2,425 pounds) and a towing capacity of 2,000 kg (4,409 lbs). It will come in two states of tune: either a 133 hp (136 PS / 100 kW) motor or the top-spec 214 hp (217 PS / 160 kW) option.
