Ford 5th Wheel Prep Package
The Ford 5th Wheel Prep Package is a set of components designed specifically for the Super Duty trucks, enabling the fitment of a 5th wheel or gooseneck hitch kit. The package includes the following components:
– Inner and Outer Frame L-Brackets
– Under bed Hitch Crossmember
– All required hardware
– Bed Mount 7-pin Wire Harness
– Trim Kit.
The package also adds the under bed rail system/pucks and the bed-mounted electrical connector, providing a convenient and integrated solution for towing fifth wheel or gooseneck trailers.
Additionally, the fifth wheel prep package also includes the wiring and sockets inside the bed, offering flexibility and options for towing needs.
It’s important to note that the Ford 5th Wheel Prep Package is VIN-specific, and it is required when adding a Ford 5th Wheel or Gooseneck Hitch Kit. If a vehicle does not come with the factory package, it can be installed after the fact, but it’s essential to ensure compatibility with the specific vehicle model.
For detailed installation instructions, there are resources available online, including step-by-step installation guides and videos for reference.
