What year did RSX have K20?
I know it’s probably a K20 or a K24 but I’m not sure. It depends on the year range. The USDM RSX Type-S from 02-04 has a K20A2. The USDM RSX Type-S from 05-06 has a K20Z1.

How do I know if my engine is K20A2?
Did some research and what I got so far:
- on block it should be marked k20a.
- the ECU has a sticker that should mark ‘XXX PRC XXXXX’
- intake manifold should be stamped PRC.
- type R also has a black dipstick (all others are orange)

The K20a3 is prone to throwing rod bearings. It is not built for spirited driving. The K20a2 is basically a K20a Type R engine. The K20a Type R has better cams, 11.5 pistons, smaller crank pulley, and the block is pulled off the production line to have the connecting rods hand torqued.
How do I know what engine code I have?
The engine code letters and the consecutive engine number are always on the engine, although they are not necessarily visible to you, but are stamped into the block and are usually difficult to read. The code is therefore often written on a sticker (the vehicle data carrier), which is attached to the timing belt cover.
