What is HDS Honda?
Honda HDS (Honda & Acura Diagnostic System) is the latest diagnostic software for Honda vehicles. It is used for troubleshooting self-diagnostic systems on Honda-produced OBD vehicles. The software provides various diagnostic functions for Honda and Acura vehicles from the years 1992 to 2007, including dynamical, body, chassis, ABS, SRS, and anti-theft systems.
HDS supports the CAN BUS system and can also reprogram the Auto ECU (Engine Control Unit). It requires a Honda OEM software subscription to function properly. The software is frequently updated to ensure compatibility and performance.
The Honda Interface Module (HIM) is the specific tool that interfaces with a PC to run the Honda Diagnostic System software. It is a standalone module reflash unit and is required for using the HDS software. The HIM is based on a PC operation platform and supports Honda vehicles from 1992 to 2016 .
It’s important to note that the HDS software is the original diagnostic tool provided by the vehicle manufacturer, and there are clones of the HIM tool available in the market. However, it’s recommended to use the genuine Honda HDS HIM tool for optimal performance and compatibility .
