The Acura EL, a subcompact executive car exclusively sold in Canada, was essentially a badge-engineered Honda Civic with a higher level of features. It was produced from 1997 to 2005 and was the top-selling Acura in Canada during its time. The Acura EL was available with a single engine option, which was not the best from the Civic’s lineup.
