Dodge vehicles typically use NGK spark plugs as the original equipment. NGK is a trusted and reliable company that provides OEM parts to many vehicle manufacturers, and Dodge is one of them. It is beneficial to use the same spark plug recommended by Dodge because they are designed to work specifically with the vehicle’s engine.
It is important to note that the owner’s manual of your Dodge will include specific spark plug brands and recommendations. If you cannot find the recommended spark plugs, there are cross-reference charts available that include different brands and state the compatibility between different types of spark plugs.
If you need to replace the spark plugs right away and cannot find the recommended ones, it is advised to buy the same type of spark plugs that your car had installed.
Please consult your owner’s manual or refer to the cross-reference charts for the specific spark plug brand and model recommended for your Dodge vehicle.

Per my conversation with a Tech at Champion: Champion does manufacture sparkplugs for Chrysler. The Mopar SI149125AE is the same plug as the Champion 9407. The only difference is cosmetic.
What does Chrysler use for spark plugs?

What is the OEM spark plug?
A quality OEM plug has a nickel-plated steel shell, as nickel is both corrosion resistant and unlikely to cause a plug to seize in the threads on the cylinder head. Many after-market plugs use a very thin nickel coating or omit it altogether to save money.
Are Mopar spark plugs made by NGK?
NGK now makes the MOPAR plugs you get from the dealer. I used the mopar plugs just to be sure, but I’m wondering if there really is any difference in these two.

What are the disadvantages of iridium spark plugs?
In its raw state, iridium is brittle and difficult to work with, and global production of iridium is less than 7,000 kg. The reason businesses go to the trouble of using iridium in spark plug construction is the metal’s unique combination of extreme toughness with conductivity and electrical resistance.
Who makes ACDelco spark?

ACDelco is an auto parts brand owned by General Motors.
In addition, ACDelco offers aftermarket parts for non-GM rides.
What spark plug is better NGK or iridium?
Iridium spark plugs are better at starting engines than other types of spark plug because the spark is highly concentrated in the central electrode, and consequentially requires less voltage to operate. This makes ignitions faster and more reliable, and also reduces power consumption.
What is the number 1 spark plug?
The number one spark plug is always found in the number one cylinder of the engine (or the number one *rotor* in a Wankel). Look at the end of the engine closest to the accessory drive. From there, locating cylinder one is easy for any inline configuration.
Is it OK to use iridium spark plugs?
Iridium is an extremely durable metallic element, which makes it a great fit as the material for spark plugs. The main property of the iridium spark plugs is that their electrode material comes with a high melting point.
