The Subaru BRAT (Bi-drive Recreational All-terrain Transporter) was a light-duty, four-wheel drive coup utility version of the Subaru Leone. It was first introduced in 1978 and was sold until 1994. The BRAT used the same all-wheel drive (AWD) system as the Subaru Leone station wagon. All BRATs came with AWD, and it had a button that allowed the driver to switch the AWD on and off. Therefore, the Subaru BRAT can be considered both AWD and 4WD.
