Is the Scion FRS a Subaru?

Is the Scion FRS a Subaru?
The Scion FRS is closely related to the Subaru BRZ. In the United States and Canada, the vehicle was initially sold under Toyota’s youth-centric Scion brand, with its name derived from a description of the platform: F for front-engine, R for rear-wheel drive, and S for sport. The same is true for the BRZ as Subaru rebadged the 86 and sold it under their brand. Initially, when production started back in 2012, the U.S. was allocated 10,000 units under Scion while Subaru was limited to only 6,000 units.
The Scion FRS and Subaru BRZ are essentially the same car, with very few differences. They share similar body lines, stock wheels, rear taillights, trunk lid, rear bumper, diffuser, and exhaust tips. From the front view, side view, and rearview, the Scion FRS and Subaru BRZ could be considered identical twins. Subaru and Scion thought they could differentiate the two simply by moving the badge placement on the trunk lid.
In summary, while the Scion FRS and Subaru BRZ were sold under different brands, they are essentially the same car with very few differences.
