The Acura RDX can be equipped with Acura’s Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system. With the upgraded system, up to 70% of torque can be sent to the rear wheels, with up to 100% of that torque applied to either rear wheel. Therefore, the Acura RDX is not rear-wheel drive by default, but it can have all-wheel drive capabilities with the SH-AWD system.
