To pop the hood lever on a Honda CRV, follow these steps:
1. Sit in the driver’s seat of your Honda CRV and locate the hood release lever. It is usually located under the lower left corner of the dashboard, on the driver’s side. You may need to look for a graphic of a car with an open hood to identify it .
2. Once you have located the hood release lever, pull it towards yourself. This will release the hood latch and partially open the hood. You should hear a pop sound when the hood is released .
3. Walk to the front of your car and reach under the hood. At the very front, you should feel a release lever. Pull this lever while simultaneously pushing the hood upwards. This will fully open the hood .
4. After the hood is open, you can use the hood prop rod to hold it up while you work. The prop rod is usually located across the front of the engine bay. Insert it into the designated hole on the underside of the hood to keep it open .
Remember to exercise caution when working under the hood of your car and ensure that the engine is turned off before attempting to open the hood.
