Opening the Hood of a Toyota FJ Cruiser
To open the hood of a Toyota FJ Cruiser, you can follow these steps:
1. Pull the Interior Hood Latch: The latch is located to the lower left of the steering wheel. Once it is pulled, the hood will pop up slightly.
2. Pull the Auxiliary Catch Lever: The lever is located just under the hood. Push up to release the safety latch under the hood in the front of your FJ Cruiser.
3. Push the Hood Up: Push the hood straight up until it holds in place.
If the hood gets stuck and won’t pop up after the interior latch is released, you can try pulling up on the hood to release the second latch. Another option is to pull the interior hood release, then bang on the hood to see if that pops it open.
Always ensure that the hood is securely closed before driving, as a hood not latched properly may fly open on the road due to aerodynamic forces.
