Toyota Supra and Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT)
The Toyota Supra does have a Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) available as an option. The DCT in the Supra is known as the ZF8 and is praised for its street manners and shift speed. While a DCT is generally faster, the ZF8 in the Supra provides a smooth and enjoyable driving experience, especially for daily driving. The upshifts are instant and the downshifts are close to perfect. The Supra’s DCT offers a good balance between performance and street drivability.
It’s worth noting that the Toyota Supra is also available with a traditional automatic transmission and a manual transmission is not offered for the Supra .
