The Acura NSX does not have VTEC. The second edition of the NSX, which is the current model, features a 3.5 L V6 engine that is aided by two turbochargers and three electric motors. The decision to move away from VTEC in the current NSX was made to focus the power more around the top of the power band, as the car can rev to 7,500 RPM. Implementing VTEC in this model would have limited the RPM range for the performance profile to be active.
The original NSX, on the other hand, was equipped with a dual-overhead cam 3.0-liter VTEC-equipped V-6 engine, which was known for being light, responsive, and revving to 8000 RPM.
In summary, while the original NSX was equipped with VTEC, the current Acura NSX does not feature VTEC technology.
