Honda’s Clarity Model Discontinuation
Honda has discontinued the Clarity model. The Clarity, which was initially available as a plug-in hybrid, a hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle, and an electric vehicle (EV), will no longer be produced after August 2021. The EV version was dropped last year, and now the plug-in hybrid and hydrogen versions will also be discontinued. Honda has confirmed that the Clarity Fuel Cell will still be available for lease through 2022. The decision to discontinue the Clarity is likely due to low demand. In 2020, Honda sold only 4,215 units of the Clarity.
