Honda Fit Auto Lock Feature
The Honda Fit does have an auto-lock feature that automatically locks the car under certain conditions. When you get out of the car and walk away with the key fob, the vehicle will lock itself after a certain distance. This feature is known as the “Walk Away Auto Lock” and is available on many Honda models, including the Honda Fit. Once you get approximately 2.5 meters away from the vehicle with the keys, the vehicle will lock automatically, providing added convenience and security (Source 10).
It’s important to note that the auto-lock feature may not work under certain circumstances, such as if the fob is “out of range” after a time period or if there are specific settings that need to be adjusted. Additionally, there have been reports of issues with the auto-lock feature, such as it not working after an accident or the doors not locking with the key fob. In such cases, it’s recommended to seek assistance from a local Honda dealer service department for further support (Source 1).
Overall, the Honda Fit’s auto-lock feature, known as the “Walk Away Auto Lock,” provides added convenience and security for drivers, allowing the vehicle to automatically lock when the driver walks away with the key fob.
