Ford Bronco Sport and Turbochargers
The Ford Bronco Sport comes with turbocharged engine options. There are three engine choices available, all of which are turbocharged, and each has its own benefits depending on your lifestyle and driving habits. The base engine is a 1.5L turbocharged three-cylinder, while there is also a 245-hp turbo-four engine available, which is standard on the Badlands models. The 2.0L EcoBoost engine, which is standard on the Badlands models, is designed for spirited driving and exploring new trails with 250 horsepower and 277 lb.-ft. of torque.
The turbocharged engines provide various benefits, including improved power and performance. However, it’s important to note that for typical off-road trails, a larger turbo meant to produce power at higher RPM may not help, as the Bronco Sport is dependent on abundant low-RPM torque made available by the twin-scroll OEM turbocharger. Additionally, it’s worth considering that the use of premium fuel for best performance is recommended by Ford, but it may not significantly impact performance at higher altitudes.
In summary, the Ford Bronco Sport does indeed have turbocharged engine options, providing a range of power and performance benefits for different driving scenarios.
